How to identify Original Ratnagiri Alphonso Mangoes campared with Banglore Alphonso

heading_title

There are a few factors to consider when identifying original Ratnagiri Alphonso mangoes compared with Bangalore Alphonso mangoes. The first and most significant marker is the aroma. The original Alphonso mangoes are grown in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, and they have a distinct sweet and natural aroma that can fill the room, in contrast to the weak smell of other mango varieties. Chemically ripened mangoes will not give off this aroma, and if you have to sniff hard, it's most likely a fake Alphonso.

In addition to smell, the visual appearance of the mango can also indicate its authenticity. According to source [4], original Ratnagiri Alphonso mangoes should look and feel soft if they are naturally ripened. Chemically ripened mangoes are yellow, yet hard, and they look uniformly coloured. Naturally ripened mangoes show gradients in yellows and green, and should not show wrinkles.

It should be noted that Bangalore Alphonso mangoes are not the same as the original Ratnagiri Alphonso mangoes, and may have different characteristics. However, the factors mentioned above can still be used to identify the authenticity of any Alphonso mango.
